Position: Cropping and Machinery Overseer.
Location: Farming properties described as Coolana, Northside,
Smalls and Woop Woop.
Located at:
1219 Woorndoo Chatsworth Road, Chatsworth,
Victoria 3379.
Reporting To: The Coolana Manager, Currently Mark Gubbins.
Supervises: Casual or permanent labour related to
the postion.
Overall Job and
Objective.
To carry out the
Coolana cropping program as well as general machinery jobs and assist in the
running of both Sheep and Cattle operations.
Duties and Accountabilities
Primary
Cropping

Sowing
of crops

Spraying
of all crops - Weeds and Pests.

Spraying
of pastures

Moniture
crops for weeds and pests

Pasture
weed and pest control

Harvest
organisation.

Silos
– Maintaining and cleaning

Silage
and Hay production
.
Livestock - Feeding, hay and grain to sheep and
cattle.
- Assistance where necessary
Machinery Maintenance - Machinery servicing
- Routine Maintenance
Secondary
Maintenance
- Electric fence monitoring and maintaining
- Fence repair and upgrade
- Water system Maintenance and replacement in
conjuction
with management
Other Enterprise assistance
- Monitoring Stock waters

Cattle and Sheep movements & recording
- Assist in cattle & Sheep operations

Position Specification
Applicant
must be of pleasant nature, self motivated and honest with the ability to work
unattended and supervise other employees
(permanent and Casual).
